Design Studio 6 located in Detroit's Bagley and Fitzgerald neighborhoods occupies one of the two former art studios located on West McNichols, which were previously owned by April's late father, Charles McGee, for more than 41 years. This location stands as a testament to the family's longstanding commitment to Detroit's vibrant arts scene and honors the creative legacy established by Charles McGee.
The Studio was thoughtfully designed to support a wide range of creative and professional activities and serves as a vibrant hub for creative entrepreneurs, designers, and artists, who regularly use the venue to host events, meetings, and workshops. This multi-functional environment fosters innovation, learning, and community engagement, supporting the diverse needs of Detroit’s creative professionals.
